The story was written as a creative project marking the end of a month studying Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken".

One day many years ago, as I was walking through the woods on my way to somewhere, I encountered a fork in the road.

It was late at night when I reached the fork, so I decided to lie down to sleep. In my dream, an old, tired looking man walked up to me and identified himself as the road taken by most of the people who passed through the area. When he spoke, he told me of the life I would have if I chose him; a life neither happy nor sad, neither filled by riches nor stricken by poverty, yet filled with friends and family.

Later, in a second dream, a young, adventurous looking man rode up on a horse and identified himself as the road not taken by most people. When he spoke, he told me of the life that I would have if I chose him; a hard, unforgiving and dangerous life in the beginning, and later, if I survived, a life filled with riches and luxuries beyond my wildest dreams. He repeatedly warned me of the dangers that lay in choosing him, yet I didn’t listen.

The next morning, when I woke up, I unhesitatingly began walking down the road less taken…

The age old conflict between consoles.

So, a few days ago I was reading this article on Kotaku (a gaming blog). The article is about the fact that Crytek's boss said that they messed up on Crysis 2.
That was some background that would allow you to understand why I was once again contemplating the fact that PC gamers and console gamers are once still arguing over which is better, both resorting to Holier-Than-You arguments and other such ploys and acts of desperation (sometimes I think they should all be forced into a small, locked room, and then left to figure something out between them).

I don't see what they are arguing over. Every person has the right to choose their prefered device for gaming, without being ridiculed by his friends (or 'colleagues'). Personaly, I have chosen to game on the PC, simply because Iv'e grown up using the mouse+keyboard combination, and don't feel comfortable using a controller like the one used on Xbox or PS3. On the other hand, I have played on both the Xbox and PS3, and find the controllers OK for very short periods of time.

Other 'issues' are the complaints that console are keeping PC gaming back because Devs are only interested in the consoles, and turn out bad PC ports. That complaint is neutralized by Dice when they announced that they were developing Battlefield 3 for the PC first, and then scaling it down for consoles.

I'm not making much sense, am I?

oh well....

P.S Yes, I am a PC gamer, but Iv'e tried to keep this article as unbiased as possible.

Also, I'm very tired.

I didn't know so many people read my blog!

Well, today I decided to check the stats on who was reading my blog, and imagine my surprise, I found out that it had been read by none other than some Americans, Israelis, Brazilians, Egyptians, Russians, Canadians and Germans! When we reached the area where we listened to the lecture (more on that later), we were confronted by the sight of a Nintendo Wii (set up for guitar hero, including the mike and drums, not just the two guitars) and a PS2/PS3 (I didn't bother looking to see which one it was).

Back to the lecture, the man talking to us was no other than the man in charge of the auto complete function (if you don't know what I mean, go to the Google homepage and type JU, and the top result should be Justin Bieber). Pretty cool right?

PS. the reason I chose to use Bieber as my example was that it was almost certain to produce the desired result. /> In Red Facton Guerrila you are a man who comes to mars to mine valuable ore at the urging of his brother, and quickly finds out that the soviet union under stalin was a perfect model of peace, human rights and understanding in comparison to the current situation on the red planet.

You begin the game armed with nothing more than a four-foot long hammer designed for mining, but surprisingley useful in beating armored soldiers to death. soon after that you are bieng taught by your brother how to demolish buidings with your hammer and remote trigered mines that seem to pack the damage of 20 pounds of C-4 in a package the size of three baseballs. seconds later you are attacked by an EDF (Earth Defence Force - the bad guys) chopper, resulting in his death.

something that isn't noticed immediatly but adds to the feeling of being on a planet other than earth is the reddish hue applied to every object, from the smallest pebble to the biggest building, as well as scarce plant-life and a lack of weather or water. staying true to mars' reputation of being a cold desolate planet, if you look closely at a person you can see his or her breath, which adds a nice touch to the thin atmosphere feeling.

If you played the game and didn't notice yet the amazing physics engine it's OK, I personaly didn't notice it until my second hour of playing, for the simple reason that I have been hoping for years for a video game in which the buildings collapsed or were damage if I detonated 100 pounds of high explosives right next to a major support beam.

What caused the explosion was probably a couple of those remote detonated mines I mentioned earlier.

This is an awsome game, and I highly suggest it to anyone who enjoys destroying everything in sight using rediculous amount of firepower - if you enjoy the idea of dropping a WW2 500 pound bomb on an ant you'l love this game!

I personaly believe that there should be more diverse missions, other than the five or six mission types available in the game, so i'm looking forward to the next installment in the series.<div I chose to start with these two titles from the call of duty series because I enjoyed playing both of them very much.
These two games are amazing in their ability to take the current political scene and add a small amount of fiction and imagination to create something that feels truly possible.

"Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare" deals with a scenario that involves fears concerning post soviet 21st century Russia and the fragile peace in the middle east. During the game the player must fight as a member of the US Marine Corp, or as a british SAS commando.

"Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" deals with what the world is like five years after the previous title in the series. CODMW2 tells of the struggle of american military forces to return peace to a world pushed into a war between the US and Russia, started by a mad terrorist who is out for revenge after his commander was killed by the player in the last game.

I prefer "call of duty: modern warfare 2" because the graphics are better and the story is more engaging, not to mention the multiplayer is very good and adds many hours of playing to the game.

first post

yo!
i decided to call my blog "wheres the beef" because...
well, im not gonna tell you now, so you should come back and check later.
anyhow, my pet kitten (he goes by the name nikey) has realy driven me over the edge-literally, he knocked me off the edge of the back porch.
